CSR
Cameron Consulting may be a SME (Small Medium Enterprise) but we will do everything we can to ensure that our business activities take into consideration the economic, social and environmental impacts in the way in which we operate our business on our customers, employees, stakeholders and the wider community.
In particular, we take voluntary actions that are over and above compliance with minimum legal requirements, to address both our own competitive interests and the interests of the wider community.

Recognising Diversity
We operate a comprehensive Diversity Policy with the aim of ensuring that equal opportunities are provided to our staff and partners. In addition, we will ensure that the delivery of our services respects diversity and where possible promotes equal opportunities for all within the communities in which we work.

Managing Risk
For every commission we are instructed on, we prepare a ‘Project Initiation Document’ as part of our Quality Assurance procedures. In accordance with this, we undertake a full risk assessment of the project and discuss and agree this with our client at project inception. We also review risk throughout the term of the commission to ensure that the project is delivered as smoothly as possible and without incurring any undue risk to either party or third party interests.

The Wider Community
Supported Charity
Each year, we choose a charity to support. This years charity is St Mungos. http://www.mungos.org/

Instead of sending Christmas Cards this year, we will be sending them via e-marketing and donating £250 to St Mungos to assist with their fantastic work with homeless people or indeed those threatened with becoming homeless and are vulnerable. We will continue to work with St Mungos throughout 2012....you will shortly hear more about our 2012 Gold Challenge where we aim to travel 2012km and raise a minimum of £2012.
Pathways2Progress(P2P)
“The other big drivers in the current era are designs that reduce waste, carbon emissions and energy consumption, and construction that offers training and jobs".
We have always worked closely with our clients to assist them with developing local initiatives to benefit the community, such as training. We are delighted to support P2P through our CSR by giving our time for free to the project. P2P provides tailored support for 13-19 year olds in Kensington and Chelsea by helping them find new interests, develop their talents and fulfil their potential to steer them away from a life of crime and disorder. Led by Twilight Bey, who grew up in LA and mediated to end conflicts between major LA gangs, P2P has supported more than 600 young people to turn their lives around in Hammersmith and Fulham, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea. It has led to a 10% reduction in young people’s unsupervised hours – a key measure in assessing the success of projects to tackle anti-social behaviour. In the areas in which it operates, 68% of residents surveyed said that the scheme has a positive on them and their community and 55% of business felt that anti-social behaviour had decreased. We have had the absolute pleasure of facilitating 12 week work placements with contractors working in Catalyst Group. 2 of the placements have gone on to become apprenticeships and we continue to work with the team at P2P to generate further opportunities.
“Young people involved in our young engagement programme, Pathways 2 Progress, now have the chance of gaining much needed work experience thanks to the strong links Cameron Consulting have helped us forge with our maintenance contractors. Karen’s personal commitment to our aims has meant that a number of young people will get their first experience of work and will hopefully go on to get the skills they need to be a success.”

Local Schools
Last year, we donated £250 to a local school to purchase sports equipment. We can hear the children from our office window, so the donation served as an ideal opportunity to thank them for the laughter they provide and break and lunchtimes when we hear them squeal with delight!
Sporting events
The team are in training! We are building up to a Tri-Athlon (with disciplines yet to be decided!) with all monies raised through sponsorship going to our nominated charity. If you as a charity have an event that you would like us to consider participating in, please just contact us. Soon to come Team Camerons 2012 Challenge.
