Neil Thody Managing Director

Neil is the Managing Director of Cameron Consulting and is responsible for shaping the vision of the business. Furthermore, he recognises the importance of ‘learning by doing’ and as a result, undertakes a number of assignments for our varied client base. Neil specialises in:
- Practical application of partnering contracts
- OJEU compliant procurement
- Supply Chain Development & Realisation
- Risk and value management
- Development of collaborative working principles within project teams.
READ MORE...Neil is a practising Management Consultant and Chartered Surveyor. He graduated from London South Bank University in 1993 after gaining a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying. After leaving University, Neil worked for a number of practises providing mainly traditional surveying services. In 1997, he joined Dunlop Haywards Ltd and after becoming Chartered in 1998, worked his way up to Associate and then to Director in 2001. Neil undertook an Executive MBA and in 2005, graduated from the University of Hull with Distinction. In 2006, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. In addition, Neil is also a member of the Institute of Business Consulting, a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and of course the Association of Partnering Advisers. Finally, Neil is a visiting lecturer on post graduate courses at London South Bank University.
Karen Thody Learning & Development Director

Karen has been working in this industry for 5 years now following a successful career in the Pharmaceutical Industry. She graduated from St Andrews University with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and though now working in procurement, still puts to use technical and clinical knowledge in specification writing. She has a wide variety of experience of both Public and Private Sector Clients including Local Authorities, NHS, private healthcare providers and the education sector. Karen is a CIPS professional and is currently undertaking an MBA. Her main driver is to ensure that everyone is given the opportunity to develop to their full potential both personally and in terms of their business need.

James Belk Principal Consultant

James is a chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years experience in both the private and public sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, housing, infrastructure and telecommunications.
He has considerable experience in the housing sector and as an associate director at Dunlop Haywards, was responsible for the management of project teams delivering large-scale maintenance and refurbishment projects, including decent homes, estate regeneration and major works programmes for a number of local authorities and RSLs.READ MORE...Before moving to Cameron Consulting, James was the Building Surveying Director at the London office of an international civil and structural engineering consultancy where he was responsible for overseeing architectural and structural engineering activities in addition to running the building surveying team.
James is a keen advocate of best value in construction, using a combination of robust partnering, effective risk management and sustainability in construction, not only in terms of energy efficiency but also whole life costs, future maintenance and final disposal.
Sarah Rae Marketing & Business Development

Sarah Rae has joined our administration team helping us keep those all important documents and meeting requests flowing just the way our clients like them. Importantly, In addition, Sarah also manages bidder responses in connection with EU tender activity and in particular, obtaining references and financial checks. Sarah comes from a corporate banking background and worked in the City of London for several years. Having taken time out to look after children, Sarah decided to return to work closer to home and works on a part time basis. Sarah will be provides support to the business across a wide range of functions.
Jamie Carmillet Graduate Trainee

Jamie joined us in September 2011 straight from Teesside University where he graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons). He is our Graduate Trainee and will be working with us to deliver Procurement Support, Business Support Services along with Research and Development. His continued learning sees him Studying an MSc in Quantity Surveying at London South Bank University part time to coincide with his on the job training and development.
Outside work, Jamie is an avid Rugby player and that has represented both University and Club throughout his career and is currently playing for Aylesford Bulls RFC. When he is not on the Rugby pitch his social life very much revolves around his Family and Friends.

Dr Vicky Vass Executive Consultant

Vicky is a psychologist with a background is in the Higher Education Sector; she has more than 20 years experience in senior management, most recently at Pro Vice-Chancellor level, in Universities in the UK and working strategically with organisations overseas. She holds both an Honours Degree and a PhD. She is an accomplished strategic leader; team developer; change manager and coach; working across the public and private sectors with clients that range from multinationals to SME’s. Clients include Shell, Talisman Oil, Job Centre Plus, Land Securities, the Institute of Directors, Leicestershire Partnership (NHS) Trust and Impressions Retail.

Recent research has included consumer profiling, market analysis and feasibility studies for new products and services.
In recent years Vicky has undertaken a number of Non-Executive Director roles; these include national level government, charity and private sector organisations.
A recent 360 degree feedback highlighted her as combining strong strategic thinking with a focus on achievement, having sound business acumen and a pragmatic approach to problem solving coupled with quick and sharp analytical skills. Claudia Nuttgens Occupational Psychologist

Claudia is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Project Manager, Executive Coach and Business Analyst with 13 years of consultancy and coaching experience. Claudia has a genuine enjoyment of meeting and working with new people, and builds relationships quickly whether they are with executive level clients, middle managers or front line staff. Claudia was pivotal in the introduction of assessment centres to our procurement exercises.
READ MORE...She is passionate about her discipline and the added value that Occupational Psychology can bring to the functioning and culture of an organisation. Indeed, she even contributes her own time and experience to promote OP services, and currently leads the Strategy Group for Rewards and Recognition of the Division of Occupational Psychology.
Her specialisms and experience are wide ranging. Having worked on large scale projects to bring about organisational change, designed and delivered development programmes and soft skills training, coached individuals in their team, designed assessment centres, facilitated a wide range of events, supported individuals through Level A and B training and provided general management consultancy services to clients. She is seen by our clients as someone who is very personable, resilient, flexible, with strong standards of quality and ethics. Above all, she can be absolutely trusted to deliver the right results for the client.
In her spare time, Claudia has two young sons who keep her busy at weekends. She enjoys cooking, eating out and good wine. In the name of balance, she has recently taken up running and swimming again. I have always been interested in the media and have appeared in a number of programmes in my capacity as a Business Psychologist, co-presented a radio programme for the British Forces Broadcasting Service, as well as assisted friends in the production of independent films and videos.

John Court Senior Consultant

John is a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. John is widely experienced in a full range of quantity surveying duties on Building, Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering projects in both the public and private sectors in the UK and overseas, having worked within the construction industry for 38 years. John specialises in setting up framework agreements, measured term and maintenance contracts and in conservation work for clients such as the British and Natural History Museums and the Parliamentary Estates Directorate. He also has wide experience of prison work, police work, education and housing.
Colin Gardiner Cost Consultant

Colin is a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Colin has gained extensive experience in a full range of quantity surveying duties during 34 years as a quantity surveyor, in both the private and public sectors. These include pre and post contract quantity surveying services for a blue chip retail sector company, the police service and the setting up framework agreements for the procurement of goods and services for the British and Natural History Museums. Colin has also worked with Local Authorities and housing associations. Colin specialises in bespoke spreadsheets for budgetary control, specialist schedules of rates and pricing models for the evaluation of measured term and maintenance contract tenders.
