Cameron Consulting has been appointed to support Rykneld Homes in the procurement of their Grounds Maintenance Contract. This commission builds on our excellent relationship with Rykneld Homes, having already been appointed to support them procure Capital Works and Gas Servicing.

Cameron Consulting achieves the Investors in People Award

 

Following our recent inspection, we are delighted to announce that in April, Cameron Consulting achieved the prestigious ‘Investors in People’ award, recognising the significant contribution we make to developing our people. The Assessor made particular reference in his report to the ‘one team ethos’ throughout the business and the fact that all staff contribute to developing the business.

Open for Business - Cameron Consulting & Malling Health mobilise first surgeries

On May 11th, we had the great pleasure of witnessing the opening of Greyfriars Health Centre in Great Yarmouth while working on behalf of Malling Health. Malling Health have secured 16 GP Led Health centres around the country - each designed to offer a huge variety of services which are set out in the marketing which is also being carried out for them by Roth Creative as part of the fully integrated service.

Stakeholder Engagement in Contractor Selection

Cameron Consulting is actively involved in developing strategies for engaging stakeholders at a strategic level in the procurement of contractors. We have recently involved residents in contractor selection activities including participation at site visits and interviews. To reinforce the robust nature of EU Procurement we have supported the stakeholder team by providing training and mentoring in their important role.

Brighton 2009 - Friends and Piers!

We exhibited at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) conference in Brighton in March. This was our first exhibition and we are delighted with the friends and contacts we made during our stay. Of most importance to us was the links we made with both existing clients and those people we met who have since approached us to identify how we can work together in the future.

Cameron Consulting is committed to be at the cutting edge of consultancy and as a result, view our continued links with academia as vital in seeking innovation and best practice. As a result, Neil Thody continues to provide visiting lectures to London South Bank University on post graduate courses, delivering lectures in partnering, procurement and leadership.

Safe Procurement - Top Tips for Effective EU Procurement

It may not have gone unnoticed that we are currently in difficult times, particularly the construction sector where competition is ‘hotting up’ as fewer contractors seek that elusive contract. As a result we are experiencing some unusual behaviours in the market place including a return to very low tender prices and increasing challenges from unsuccessful bidders, particularly on EU procured contracts.

The Term Review under TPC2005

Clause 13.2 of the Term Partnering Contract, TPC2005 (Amended 2008) provides for the contract to be ‘subject to review’. This is a powerful clause that when used effectively can be used to review the contract on a regular basis and to promote continual improvement.
